1) We are made by God. taking from Colossians 1:16, he talked about 3 areas: Things in heaven and earth; Visible and invisible; Thrones or powers. Read Psalm 139 too! It’s a cool psalm!

2) Designed with Purpose – God packed you up for what you need for life! Just liked how Rachel packed Ray-ann’s bag for school! Check out Exodus 35:35.

Ask yourself – What 3 things are you packed with?

What is Daryl packed with?? Well maybe He’s the reincarnation of Sponge Bob. He’s packed with the Joker genes and he can play drums like an octopus

Oh and Shalom also has the Joker gene – JOKE!!!

Caiqing always looks on the bright side of life…da da dum…(Sing it yourself!)

COOL TRUTHS:
- If you need to find a job, consult your Designer, not your greed!
- Do what you love so well that someone pays you to do it (DAN Yan shamelessly quoting himself!)
- You cannot be anything you want to be – BUT you can be EVERYTHING God wants you to be!

3) Destined for Glory!

Check out Romans 8:30.
- Your Designer has the PERFECT PLAN!
- The plan won’t be perfect if you are not part of it – If you are not living that plan, your life is not perfect
- Just look to Jesus – CHRIST is the difference between ALL or NOTHING (John 15:5, Phil 4:13)

Destiny

Today, David is sharing a message about destiny and about pre-destination.

Sounds like a interesting topic…wonder how it will turn out?

Ephesians 1:11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will..

An interesting point – in a soccer match, if the game is fixed, then the abilities and actions of the players become irrelevant!

Next verse:

^{Romans 8:29-30}For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

God has designed our destiny, based on us – we have a part to play. But is it good to know your destiny beforehand?

Some said yes:

To prepare ourselves
If you know the destination, it is harder to stray

But some said no:

Life would be boring

According to David, It is good not to know:

you have joy in discovering
There is joy in growing.

We grow because of decisions we make.

Why is it good to know:

There is joy in certainty
You have joy in overcoming

3 things about destiny:

Dominion is your destiny (john 14:12, 1 Cor 6:2-3). It is always for the greater good, for the good of others!
Dreams point towards your destiny! God gives us dreams and visions of our destiny. Nothing can change the promises and plans of God. (See Martin Luther King Jr - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbUtL_0vAJk)
Decisions lead to your destiny! (Joshua 24:15) It is a personal choice. Joshua chose, Abram chose to leave Ur. Joseph chose to hold on to God, despite the sufferings. Ruth chose to follow Naomi back to Israel. Selfish desires are a destiny-killer! Instead, make WINNING DECISIONS for God! They are painful however.

When we are certain about our destiny, we are not afraid of losing out, afraid of taking risk. We are also NOT afraid of waiting for His timing. We are not afraid to sacrifice and sow hours of work, time, sweat, prayer, practice, preparation.

Many are called into high places, wonderful destinies. We are the only ones who can stop ourselves.

We will get there – hold on to your faith!

We’re about 10 days away from National Day, 10 days away from completing the 40-day fast! How has it been going for everyone? We’re down to the final lap!! So even as we read today about being authentic disciples of Jesus, let’s read the Word, let’s pray for our Nation, let us demonstrate the love and life of Jesus!

Preparing to be a Glorious Bride!

For those who want to refresh their memory on what was shared this morning… Let us remember to prepare ourselves to be a Glorious Church for God through:—

Purity: Psalms 24:3-4

Unity: Ephesians 4:2-3

Life: Jeremiah 29:11

Light: Matthew 5:16

Are we leading a life of Purity? It’s true that we might stumble and fall sometimes, but let us be reminded that we can always get back up and cling to God for His purifying presence!

Are we creating division within the church, or are we making every effort to keep peace within the body of Christ?

Are we leading a life of purpose and passion? Remember, God created the world FOR us! He designed how the universe will be, with us in mind!

Are we leading an exemplary life, that shines forth before everyone? Let us bring light into this world! SHINE!
